Dancing the Night Away Remastered. Art Garfunkel I Shall Sing. The group's second album is only slightly less inventive than its first, still very countrified compared to most country-rock, and more soulful than most of the competition. The numbers range from rocking stompers like Typical American Boy to the lyrical If I Just Know What to Say, with room in between for some fine western numbers The End Is Not in Sight, Out of the Snow - the former a Grammy-winning country tune, the latter a beautiful mandolin workout - and novelty songs. The Amazing Rhythm Aces. Pop 1976. contains by far the best Aces album, Too Stuffed to Jump. Quirky lyrics and wonderful hooks an melodies capture an era. Their first release, Stacked Deck, is much more country than rock, showcasing some tunes that were popular on country juke boxes of the era. Too Stuffed To Jump' begins with a string of ballads, which is not ideal, though individually they're pretty good. The last five tracks though are made of sterner stuff. The disc closes with the tour de force, 'Dancing The Night Away,' a formidable, slowish song that Leo Sayer was later to cover. Album 2 Too Stuffed To Jump Acetate, LP, Met. Ardent Mastering.
