True A sounds really unacceptable, potential beautiful drums are distorted af. B1 sounds a bit like me ramming on a piano. But still still appreciative in the blend of sounds. It's weirdly listenable flow taking you somewhere but not so quite sure where. it's panicky and tense, bit jazzy and open weird. Still quite appreciative considering this is experimental. Nice that it's done in these compilations of sounds and rhythms

Saw them live last night and was blown away. As compelling a fusion of raw, jacking house and jazz as you are likely to find. This release is more a document of the live set than a stand alone studio release in its own right. Sound quality is also not good enough to play out, particularly side A, which is more beat driven. But as a memento of a dynamic new group finding their way, it will do nicely.

Anyone who has followed what Jamal Moss has released in the last 15 years or so will know that he doesn't make records to cut through the sound system in Berghain. He pushes the boundaries of what we traditionally know as house and techno, his stuff doesn't sound big and punchy but raw and sometimes quite oddball, very much in the spirit of what Throbbing Gristle did 40 years ago or Autechre did 20 years ago etc. A superb release that blows away the endless flood of generic house and techno being released these days.

I read this and thought, how bad could it be, and then I got the record and side A is really unplayable. Easily the worst sounding single side of a record that I own, out of about 8K records.
