Rather Ripped - Sonic Youth. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. Rather Ripped is the fourteenth studio album by American rock band Sonic Youth, released on June 13, 2006 by Geffen Records. It was the band's first album following the departure of multi-instrumentalist Jim O'Rourke, who had joined as a fifth member in 1999. Unlike its immediate predecessors, the album was produced by John Agnello and recorded at Sear Sound in New York City, the same studio where the band's 1994 album, Experimental Jet Set, Trash and No Star, was recorded. It also completed Sonic. Rather Ripped is Sonic Youth's 16th album, and their first without Jim O'Rourke's assistance since A Thousand Leaves. Here, SY provide a 12-song set of concise melodic rockers, recorded once again at Sear Sound Sister Experimental Jet Set, Trash and No Star Psychic Hearts, capturing crystal clear guitar tones, both warm and bright. On July 18, 2005, after a couple of weeks supporting Nurse in Europe, a three-legged Sonic Youth minus Lee, and Jim, who was still in the band at that point played a low-key gig at Flywheel in Easthampton, MA. They debuted four songs, Helen Lundeberg Or Do You Believe In Rapture and Pink Steam. Album : Rathet Ripped - 2006 1. Reena 2. Incinerate 3. Do You Believe in Rapture 4. Sleepin Around 5. Jim O'Rourke did not take part in the making of the record. It was reported that some of the gear stolen in 1999 was surprisingly recovered and that it may have been used for recording of the album. The album was described by Thurston Moore as a super song record containing rockers and ba. Sonic Youth - Rather Ripped 2006. To favorites 2 Download album. Listen album. Experimental Rock. Considering that Sonic Youth lost Jim O'Rourke and found the custom-tweaked, irreplaceable guitars that were stolen in 1999 before heading into the studio to make Rather Ripped, it seemed that the album could be a big departure from what they'd been doing on Murray Street and Sonic Nurse - possibly a return to the kind of music they could. only make with those instruments, or perhaps an entirely different approach that reflected their revamped, old-is-new-again lineup.
