Album

Rubber Soul is the sixth studio album by the English rock band the Beatles. It was released on 3 December 1965 in the United Kingdom, on EMI's Parlophone label, accompanied by the non-album double A-side single Day Tripper, We Can Work It Out. The original North American version of the album, issued by Capitol Records, contained ten of the fourteen songs and two tracks withheld from the band's Help album. Rubber Soul met with a highly favourable critical response and topped sales charts in. Rubber Soul was also the last Beatles album for which Norman Smith manned the control desk. He took his leave after six albums and eleven singles going on to produce Pink Floyd and later still to enjoy success as 'Hurricane' Smith. I've Just Seen A Face' and 'It's Only Love' from side two of the British Help album replaced four tracks which the US would save for a future release titled Today. The US Rubber Soul album reached 1 in early January 1966 and stayed there for six weeks during an initial chart run of 51 weeks. pll3GkR-OHY. The Making Of Rubber Soul. It was first released on 6 August 1965 in the United Kingdom by Parlophone and on 13 August in the United States by Capitol Records. Produced by George Martin, it serves as a soundtrack to the film of the same name and contains fourteen songs in its original British release. Seven of these, including the singles Help and Ticket to Ride, appeared in the film and occupy the first side of the vinyl release the second side contained. For me, the Beatles best album was Rubber Soul, followed closely by Revolver. To me, this was a transitional period from the early period to the more experimental period with parts of both in both albums. Michelle and What Goes On possibly could have shown up in Beatles '65 or Help, while several could have shown up in Magical Mystery Tour. I'm just saying that they were really learning how to use the studio and were taking advantage of it. An album of great songs, stylistically all over the place, and created at just the right time in history. The Beatles sixth UK album and 11th US long-player, Rubber Soul showed the group maturing from their earlier pop performances, exploring different styles of songwriting and instrumentation, and pushing boundaries inside the studio. In October 1965, we started to record the album. Things were changing. Wait had been recorded for Help, and with a few overdubs in late-1965 was deemed good enough for inclusion on Rubber Soul. Michelle, meanwhile, was one of McCartneys oldest songs, dating as far back as 1959. It was inspired by Austin Mitchell, one of John Lennons tutors at the Liverpool College of Art.
