Album

The album Dawn Raids on Morality was produced by Pat Collier. In 1989, they recorded a session for the BBC Radio 1 DJ, John Peel. The band toured the UK and supported other Native Records acts, such as The Darling Buds and Richard Hawley's debut band, Treebound Story. However inconsistent performances by the band, and the departure of John Sullivan and later Spike Mullings, hindered the band's ability to reach a wider audience. 12 singles. 1988 The Things You Want - 12NTV 37. 1989 Dole Boys On Futons - 12NTV 41. 1989 No Expectations - 12NTV 46. 1989 The Eternal in a Moment - 12NTV 47. 1989 Dole Boys on Futons - CD NTV 41 3 inch CD. This was the only album released by these John Peel faves, includes the brilliantly titled 'Dole boys On Futons'. The only album this trio put out, turning of the centuries is the hook song. The name of the game for the Snapdragons is tempo changes. Almost every individual song sounds like two different songs at some point as it plays which provides for a very intersting listening experience. A must have The Snapdragons create music that doesn't disappoint. I love the bouncy hard drivin' sound of Black Windmills. The guitar solos on Beautiful Flame and Giant Islands are some of my favorites. They have a punch that I have never quite experienced anywhere else. The beasts will eat anything, including your arm if you don't move it away quickly enough. Luckily for you, they've developed a taste for Chitterspine Roe. A second studio album entitled Mass was recorded with Nigel Lister replacing John Sullivan on guitar. The album Dawn Raids on Morality is rated by Native and many aficionados of UK Indie music as an undiscovered gem with thoughtful lyrics and classy guitar work and was produced by Pat Collier. Drummer Pel Riccardi went on to join the very successful Utah Saints. The Snapdragons' best known single was perhaps 'Dole Boys On Futons' the opening track on their first album and written by James Taylor and John Sullivan - the song described the incongruous, but growing phenomenon of unemployed youths living designer lives - all summed up with the ingenious chorus .
