Invisible City by Wang Wen, released 25 September 2018 1. Daybreak 2. Stone Scissors 3. Mail from the River 4. Lost in Train Station 5. Solo Dance 6. Bamboo Crane 7. Silenced Dalian 8. Ben Leathley Wang Wen are one of my favourite bands - a big reason for this is that each successive album shows clear evolution of sound whilst staying true their own unique sound. Another amazing piece of work with Invisible City. Favorite track: Daybreak. Invisible City is WANG WEN's proud and conscious statement against the all-surrounding depression, and also to some degree a declaration of loyalty towards their home: it is an album full of hope. The recordings of Invisible City were completed once again under the supervision of Belgian. Album 2018 8 Songs. Wang Wen - Invisible City review: A touching post rock odyssey. I randomly discovered Wang Wen by clicking on a link a friend posted online, along with a photo taken by himself of a peaceful sunset. It led me to their album Sweet Home, Go, which I soon realized was a strong effort with several styles blended into a massive, moody journey. After a few listens, I dug deeper in their discography, only to realize how volatile this Chinese group is. Playing a mix of post rock with ambient, jazz and noise influences, you get multiple detours and unexpected turns on each track. The Invisible is the debut album by The Invisible, released on March 9, 2009, on Matthew Herbert's label, Accidental Records in the UK. The album itself was released on 9 March 2009 and was produced by Matthew Herbert. London based singer Eska features as backing vocalist for all tracks apart from In Retrograde, London Girl and Spiral. The album was nominated for the 2009 Mercury Music Prize
